Gasket/Washer is a mechanical seal which fills the space between two or more mating surfaces, generally to prevent leakage from or into the joined objects while under compression.

The rubber gasket is usually made of NBR, PTFE, NBR, EPDM, SILICONE, VITON, FFKM, etc.
The material of the rubber gasket is the most common in the use of NBR nitrile rubber, and its cost performance is the highest. The use of FFKM perfluoro rubber gaskets are generally used in more advanced fields such as space rockets. Because its price is quite expensive, its performance is superior and can exceed many metal materials.


The gasket is mostly used in combination with the sealing ring, which is made of rubber ring and metal ring integral bonding vulcanization. It is used to seal the sealing ring of thread and flange connection. The ring includes a metal ring and a rubber sealing gasket. Metal ring anti-rust treatment, rubber ring generally used oil – resistant nitrile or fluorine rubber.

Besides, the combination seal washer is used for thread pipe joint and screw plug seal. It is generally used together with the sleeve pipe joint to plug the oil port. It is mainly used for the static seal of the end face of the screw joint of the hydraulic valve pipe joint.
